Here are a few techniques we use at Loud Rumor that encourage reviews and build relationships with clients:

1 – Deliver Amazing Work to Get Clients to Review You

In order for people to give you amazing reviews, clients and customers need to be amazed. That means the product or service that is offered should be top notch. If people come to your location, from the moment they walk through the door to the point that they leave, the entire experience needs to be so memorable that they feel inclined to tell their friends. If you blend in with competitors, there’s a lower chance that customers will be impressed. Clients won’t go out of their way to say positive things about you unless you make sure you’ve gone out of your way for them.

2 – Meet With Them Individually to Get Clients to Review You

Once your amazing work is delivered, it’s important to meet with loyal and top clients on a regular basis. Ask them how satisfied they are with your product/ service, ask what they’d like to see done differently, and figure out how their other goals can be met. Creating this bond is important. It shows clients that they’re more than a customer – their best interest aligns with your best interest. Receiving this feedback from clients allows you to work harder for them as well. Once this is accomplished, it’s fair to openly ask them to review you to ensure that you’re meeting client happiness. Ask for their honest feedback so your can continue to grow and be better for them.

Now that you’ve built a relationship with your top clients and met with them, ask if they would be willing to tell others about their experience. Another great time to ask for client reviews is after an event. Create a survey or send them a thank you email with a survey link that they can complete. If they really loved the event and were impressed, there’s a higher chance that they’ll take the time to give you a review. Events also show clients more of who you are so it’s a great opportunity to get to know one another. This makes people even more comfortable when giving reviews.

5 – Hold an Online Review Contest

A great way to encourage clients to review you online is to host a contest. In order to provide better services and constantly improve, client feedback is a huge factor. And to show your gratitude with a big thank you, you can even incorporate a prize. One of our clients actually ran a review contest and offered a 40-inch TV to show their appreciation for the online reviews. Each online review that’s submitted can count as a raffle submission. Choose an end date to the contest and pull the raffle winner on that day!
